Overview

Postura is a violin practice app that provides posture analysis, analyzed video playback, a tuner, and a metronome. Postura is designed to keep practice data on your device. The app does not require an account, does not display ads, does not track users across apps or websites, and does not sell personal information.

Information the app collects

Postura does not collect personal data from the app or send your practice videos, camera frames, pose landmarks, microphone audio, tuner input, metronome settings, or posture analysis results to Ethan Xie or to a server.

The app may ask for permission to use device features needed for its core functions:

• Camera and videos: used to record or analyze violin posture and to display analyzed playback. Processing is performed on the device.
• Microphone: used for tuner pitch detection. Audio is processed on the device and is not stored or transmitted by Postura.
• Photos or files, if enabled: used only when you choose to import, save, or review practice media on your device.

Support emails

If you choose to contact support by email, your email address and the contents of your message will be received and used only to respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, and improve Postura. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your support request.

How information is used

On-device practice information is used only to provide Postura features, including posture analysis, playback review, tuner feedback, and metronome settings. Support email information is used only for support, safety, abuse prevention, and app improvement.

Sharing and third parties

Postura does not share app data with third-party advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or tracking services. If you send an email, that message is handled by the email providers involved in sending and receiving it.

Retention and deletion

Practice videos, analysis results, and settings remain on your device unless you delete them or uninstall the app. Support emails may be retained as long as needed to respond to you, maintain support history, and meet legal or safety obligations. You may request deletion of support emails by contacting the address below.

Children's privacy

Postura is intended for general violin practice and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not send practice data to a server, practice media stays under the control of the device user. If a parent or guardian believes they have provided personal information through a support email and wants it deleted, they can contact the address below.
